When?
So, the big question, the question everyone asks, is when are we moving. The short truthful simple answer is “before January.” Here is the long answer:
We’ve still got a mound of things to do. Jess needs to find a job, we need to find a place to live, we need to get rid of about 80% of our stuff, and we need to figure out how we’re getting there and how we’ll be paying for it. Our aim is to be in New York City by the end of November. My classes start January 9th (I’m going to film school) and we don’t want to be moving in while I’ve just started school. We want to have been there and have gotten over at least a little bit of the initial freakout of “oh my God we’re 4,000 miles from home, what the fuck did we just do?” Today is July 30th. I just counted, from right now to November 30th is one hundred and twenty four days. So, when are we moving? Within 124 days.
We have a lot to do.
